Roundabout to be cleared

Back in 2010 Ian worked with Cllr Graham Oxby (Retford North) and the Retford Times to get the roundabout on Babworth Road cleared up after it had been neglected and had become overgrown causing a danger to motorists and being an eyesore to visitors to Retford.

But since then the roundabout, which is now under the responsibility of Nottinghamshire County Council, has become overgrown yet again. Ian added ''Nottinghamshire County Council said last year that the roundabout will be well maintained, well the council have let us all down. The roundabout is once again in a terrible state.''

''This morning I have been assured by Nottinghamshire County Council that they will clear the roundabout next week and will continue to maintain the area until their sponsor has taken over the upkeep''.
